Accessibility

What we have built in, what we know is not there yet, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

What we aim for

We build this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the target, not a certificate — we have not been independently audited, and saying we had would be the kind of claim this page exists to avoid.

What is already in place

  • Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, and focus is always visible
  • The menu drawer traps focus while open, closes on Escape, and returns focus to the button that opened it
  • Text and interface colours are checked for contrast; body text and links pass AA against their backgrounds
  • Headings follow a real hierarchy so screen reader users can navigate by structure
  • Icon-only buttons carry accessible labels; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology
  • Wide tables scroll inside their own container so the page never scrolls sideways
  • Animation is reduced automatically when your system asks for reduced motion

What we know is not there yet

Product photography does not all have descriptive alt text. Some third party components, including the checkout, are outside our control and we cannot promise their behaviour matches the rest of the site.

Telling us about a problem

If something on this site blocks you, write to us through the contact form and say what page you were on and what you were trying to do. We will reply within one working day and tell you honestly whether it is something we can fix and when.

If we cannot fix it quickly, we will help you complete what you were doing another way — including placing an order for you over email.

This page changes

When we fix something on the list above, it moves out of the second section. Last reviewed at launch.
